But among all of these advancements, one AI system has stood out as something entirely different. Something that doesn’t just answer questions or process data—but acts on its own.

It’s called Manus AI, and it’s unlike anything we’ve seen before.

What is Manus AI and Why is Everyone Talking About It?

Manus is China’s latest and perhaps most impressive foray into AI development. People are already calling it “China’s second DeepSeek moment,” a reference to the country’s previous AI breakthroughs. But what makes Manus different isn’t just its accuracy—it’s its ability to take action in the real world.

Unlike other AI models that merely generate text or answer questions, Manus can see your screen, control your browser, run searches, execute code, and even automate complex workflows. It’s an AI agent that does instead of just advising. And that’s why it’s gaining so much attention.

Reports suggest that Manus is more accurate than DeepSeek and is capable of handling financial transactions, conducting deep research, making purchases, and automating up to 50 different tasks at once. The capabilities being demonstrated are almost hard to believe:

• Multitasking at Scale: Demos show Manus controlling up to 50 different screens at once, running multiple workflows simultaneously.

The Catch: Getting Access to Manus

Here’s the frustrating part—access to Manus is extremely limited right now. The official website requires an invitation code, and getting one seems nearly impossible unless you’re deeply embedded in the AI space.

There’s a Discord server where codes are occasionally dropped, but competition is fierce. Thousands of people are waiting for just a handful of codes, and from what we’ve seen, the demand is only growing.

But there is a workaround.

The Open-Source Alternative: Open Manus

If you can’t get your hands on Manus, there’s an open-source alternative called Open Manus. While it lacks the polished interface of the official version, it’s built on similar technology and can perform many of the same functions.

We haven’t personally tested Open Manus yet, but based on reports from the community, it can:

• Control browsers

• Interpret on-screen content

• Perform Google searches and compile research

• Generate reports and downloadable files

It’s not perfect—the UI is basic, setup requires some technical knowledge, and you may need to restart between tasks—but it provides a glimpse into what the future of AI agents looks like.

How Manus Could Change the Game for Businesses

If Manus lives up to its potential, we’re looking at a fundamental shift in how work gets done. Think about the repetitive research tasks we all do daily:

• Analyzing competitors

• Sourcing suppliers

• Optimizing SEO and digital marketing

• Scheduling and coordinating logistics

Right now, these tasks take time, effort, and multiple tools. Manus could potentially automate all of it. Instead of spending hours gathering information, businesses could have an AI agent that finds the right data, processes it, and presents it in an actionable format—all without human intervention.

This isn’t about small efficiency gains. This is about AI replacing entire workflows.

Where is This Headed?
